The Acreage is an unincorporated community in western Palm Beach County, west of Royal Palm Beach and north of Wellington, laid out on a grid of canals and roads with lots of about an acre or more. There's no downtown; instead there are barns, paddocks, nurseries and homes set back from the road, with Acreage Community Park as the gathering point. Shopping is in Royal Palm Beach and the new Westlake town center next door, and Southern and Okeechobee Boulevards connect it to the rest of the county.
